We disembarked from the cruise ship right after breakfast. Our plane didn’t leave for Chicago until 7:00 in the evening. We said good-bye to our wonderful cousin, Kay. She had decided to go to Pearl Harbor.
Oh…what to do all day…
During our first four days in Honolulu, while we were enjoying being on the 35th floor of our condo, we could hear growling, chattering, bellowing… After scanning the area Pam saw it first…! An elephant! There was a zoo near by!
So on our last day with time on our hands we decided to check it out! We went to the zoo!
I will say it was one of the best zoo’s I’ve ever been too!
Flamingo’s don’t even look real until one of them makes a slight movement!
Monkeys are the funniest creatures and they know how to have fun!
This guy turned his head and looked at me just as I snapped his picture!
I’ve never seen such big turtles! I couldn’t get a close-up. But these guys are twice the size of the first ones we saw!

Soon after, my batteries in my camera gave up and I had to stop taking pictures!!!
We also saw lions and tigers and many more exotic animals! God created them all!
We also went to Waikiki Beach again. You can’t go to Honolulu and not go to Waikiki Beach!!!
We ate our last meal at Tiki’s across the street from the beach.
Then it was time to go to the airport and board our plane to Chicago. Where had the time gone? When we arrived and were going through security…there was Kay! She was booked on the same plane to Chicago as we were! What a wonderful ending to our wonderful, unbelievable, unforgettable ten days in Hawaii!
